1. Definitions

“Company” means D Lloyd-Jones Plumbing and Heating Ltd, its employees and authorised representatives.

“Customer” means the individual, company, or organisation requesting plumbing and/or heating services.

“Services” means the plumbing, heating, gas, and related services provided by the Company.
2. General
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by the Company. By booking or accepting a service, the Customer agrees to these terms in full.
3. Estimates and Quotations

All estimates or quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Estimates are provided in good faith and based on the information provided at the time. Final pricing may vary depending on the scope of work and unforeseen issues.

If additional work is required, the Company will inform the Customer and seek approval before proceeding.
4. Appointments and Access
-
The Company will agree a date and time for attendance and make reasonable efforts to attend as scheduled.

The Customer must ensure access to the premises and relevant systems is provided at the agreed time.

Missed appointments or delays caused by the Customer may result in a call-out charge.
5. Pricing and Payment.

Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For larger projects, a deposit or staged payments may be required.

Late payments may incur interest and/or administrative fees in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
6. Cancellations
-
The Customer may cancel a scheduled appointment with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a cancellation fee or call-out charge.

The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to circumstances beyond its control.
7. Workmanship and Warranty
-
All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion, unless otherwise agreed.

Manufacturer warranties apply to parts and materials supplied by the Company.

The warranty does not cover misuse, accidental damage, third-party interference, or issues arising from Customer-supplied materials.
8. Customer Responsibilities
-
The Customer must ensure the work area is safe and accessible.

The Customer is responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions, approvals, or consents before work begins (e.g. landlord or building authority approval).

The Customer must inform the Company of any known hazards, such as asbestos or unsafe systems.
9. Liability
-
The Company will take reasonable care in delivering its services but shall not be liable for:

Any indirect or consequential loss;

Damage caused by existing defects or poorly maintained systems;

Faults arising from third-party materials or installations not carried out by the Company.

Nothing in these terms limits the Company’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Waste Disposal

The Company will dispose of any waste materials it creates, unless otherwise agreed.

The removal of large or hazardous waste may incur additional charges.
11. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform its obligations due to events outside its reasonable control, including extreme weather, illness, labour disputes, or supply chain issues.
12. Data Protection
The Company processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
13. Complaints

14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
